Every Creature Has Its Place in the Fynbos

From the smallest pollinator to the most feared predator, each species plays a vital role in keeping our unique fynbos ecosystem in balance.

Even the snakes we instinctively avoid are guardians of this delicate harmony, reminders that true conservation protects all life.

The iconic Cape cobra (Naja nivea) is a highly venomous snake that is thankfully also quick to retreat and avoid conflict.

A healthy ecosystem provides a safe home for all.
