Gansbaai Christmas Lights Evening

Gansbaai Christmas Lights Evening

Christmas Street Lights Merriment

It’s that time of year again – it’s time to switch on the Gansbaai Christmas Lights!

The evening kicks off with the parade leaving the Municipality at 19:00 and proceeds along the Main Road. The parade consists of “anybody and anything” – basically we have some Shark Cage Diving and Whale Watching boats, various local businesses, youth, organisations and groups, our little Kaapse Klopse and the Gansbaai Fire Brigade.

The event takes place in front of PEP Stores in the Main Road and artists performing include:
-    The Grootbos Choir
-    Our little Kaapse Klopse
-    Line Dancing
-    Some of our local artists

At 20:00 there will be singing of Christmas Carols, the Mayor will give a Christmas message and then the Christmas Lights will be switched on at about 20:15.

Those joining the event can walk along the Main Road and enjoy the Christmas Lights along with various stalls and even some specials running at the local restaurants. The Main Road reopens at 21:00.

Remember to bring a chair along (just in case), something warm and money to buy some of the amazing goodies available. If you would like to participate in the parade or wish to have a stall, please contact Glenda at 028 384 2111 or glenda@gansbaaitourism.co.za

We look forward to seeing you there!
