NOTICE: GANSBAAI TRAFFIC SERVICES REMAIN CLOSED 07.07.2021
The Gansbaai licencing and registration office unfortunately remains closed until further notice.
The Hermanus Traffic office is working on skeleton staff so is unable to assist with temporary placements.
The availability of staff will be reviewed on a weekly basis and the public will be updated accordingly.
Overstrand Municipality encourages residents to minimise cash payments and to make use of online (EFT) payments as preferred method to renew motor vehicle registration discs.
Gansbaai residents who have paid for their motor vehicle registration discs renewals by EFT, will be able to collect the discs in Gansbaai with prior arrangement.
Please email proof of payment, contact details and your car licence number to Patrick Africa at pafrica@overstrand.gov.za to arrange delivery.
Kindly note that only people who made the necessary arrangements via email, will be able to collect their discs from Gansbaai.
EFT Payments
Please pay the correct amount into the Overstrand Municipality primary bank account and use the relevant car registration number as a reference and add GB (if you are collecting the discs from Gansbaai) or KMD (if you are collecting the discs from Kleinmond).
This will make it easier for staff members to allocate the printed disc to the correct town.
Please ascertain the correct amount due by phoning the Overstrand Traffic Switchboard number on 028 313 2044 before making an EFT payment.
