BARC Animal Welfare - July Update

It’s been a busy and exciting start to the year at BARC! Here’s a quick look at what’s been happening:

New Cattery Opened - Huge thanks to Trevor Penney and his team for sponsoring a brand-new cattery! Our cats and kittens now have more space to relax, play, and feel safe.

Play Area Upgrade - Thank you to Adel Kokt (First Rand Volunteers) for fixing our sewage pipes and to Sharlene De Villiers (Grootbos) for donating trees. The animals will love their safer, greener space!

Community Support - From Melanie’s Pet Parlour treating Scarlett, to amazing donations of blankets and R20,000 from LIGHT HOUSE TO LIGHT HOUSE – we’re so grateful!

Charity Shop - Donate goods like clothes, toys, or crockery. All sales help pay for vet bills.

Upcoming Dates

   - 18 July: Mandela Day - Walk a dog or help plant trees

   - 6 Sept: Tin Collection

   - 6 Dec: BARC Golf Day
