Over 350 Walk in Pearly Beach to Support Friends with Cancer
On Sunday, 15 February 2026, the village of Pearly Beach came alive with the Walks for Friends with Cancer, a community event organised by the Pearly Beach Angling Club. Over 350 participants took to the scenic coastal paths, walking in honour of loved ones affected by cancer and raising awareness for local cancer support initiatives. The morning was filled with quiet reflection, friendly conversations, and a shared sense of purpose as the community came together to support this important cause.
Amid the meaningful moments, two lucky participants, Paula Havenga and Karin Esterhuizen, each received a prize through a lucky draw sponsored by Seeff, a small but cheerful addition to the day. The walk was a reminder of the strength, compassion, and solidarity that define Pearly Beach, and of the impact a united community can make in the fight against cancer.
