Mushroom Season at Grootbos
Do you know your mushrooms? Mike, the reserve manager has spotted some early mushrooms which have sprouted due to recent rainfall and perfect conditions.
These are blushers, one of the most dangerous mushrooms to forage due to their apparent similarity to panther caps. Delicious or deadly - if you aren't certain, then it is not worth taking a bite.
This is a toxic panther cap. Don't eat this.
This beauty is a porcini - safe and delicious to eat.
