Gansbaai Cleanup Success
Baie dankie aan elke kampioen wat deelgeneem het aan die Groot Gansbaai-skoonmaak! JY het bygedra en 'n verskil in ons gemeenskap gemaak. Daar was 'n ongelooflike agt skoonmaakaksies in verskeie woonbuurte rondom Gansbaai.
Die Recycle Plant Tour was fassinerend met baie vrae wat beantwoord is en soveel positiewe terugvoer daarna. 'n Groot dankie aan Craig Mitchell, ons Hoof van Afvalbestuur by Overstrand Munisipaliteit. Dit het ons persepsie van die herwinningsproses verander en lig gewerp op hoe belangrik en hoe maklik dit is om te herwin. Dankie aan ons Overstrand Munisipaliteit-spanne wat die vullissakke daarna opgetel het en ook hul normale daaglikse optelwerk gedoen het.
'n Groot dankie aan ons plaaslike organisasies wat aan die skoonmaakaksie deelgeneem het en die Recycle Plant Tour bygewoon het. Dyer Island Conservation Trust Marine Dynamics Whale Tours White Shark Projects White Shark Diving Company Pearly Beach Conservation Gorgeous Gansbaai ARTS Project en Wildlife Relief Project. Julle inspireer ons om beter afvalversamelaars en herwinners te wees en om ons kosbare omgewing te beskerm vir beide ons land- en mariene ekosisteme, veral hier in Gansbaai in ons mariene beskermde gebied en waar ons toerismebedryf werk skep.
Ons kan absoluut elkeen 'n verskil in Gansbaai maak deur saam te staan en ons natuurlike omgewing te beskerm.
Thank you to each and every champion who participated in the Big Gansbaai Cleanup! YOU contributed and made a difference to our community. There were an incredible eight cleanups in various neighbourhoods around Gansbaai.
The Recycle Plant Tour was fascinating, with loads of questions being answered and so much positive feedback afterwards. A big thank you to Craig Mitchell, our Head of Waste Management at Overstrand Municipality. It changed our perception of the recycling process and shed some light on how important and how easy it is to recycle. Thank you to our Overstrand Municipality crews who collected the rubbish bags afterwards and did their normal daily pickups as well.
A big shout-out to our local organisations that participated in the cleanup and attended the Recycle Plant Tour. Dyer Island Conservation Trust, Marine Dynamics Whale Tours, White Shark Projects, White Shark Diving Company, Pearly Beach Conservation, Gorgeous Gansbaai ARTS Project en Wildlife Relief Project. You inspire us to be better waste collectors and recyclers and to protect our precious environment for both our land and marine ecosystems, especially here in Gansbaai in our marine protected area and where our tourism industry creates jobs.
We can absolutely each make a difference in Gansbaai by standing together and protecting our natural environment.
