Die uitstekende seniorkoor van Laerskool Beaumont tree eerskomende Sondag, 22 Junie 2014 tydens die NG-gemeente se oggenddiens in die Kerk om 09:30 op. Hulle kooroptrede sal gepaardgaan met viooloptrede deur Francois Voges. Die koorleier is Rina Goldberg, met Tersia le Roux wat as begeleier sal optree. Hierdie optrede sal vooraf gegaan word met hulle optrede op Vrydagaand, 20 Junie 2014 in die NG-kerksaal te Stanford om 18:30.
Daar sal hulle ‘n volle kooroptrede en ‘n meer kontemporêre program aanbied, ingesluit instrumentale bydraes deur die blokfluitensemble van 8 lede, ook onder leiding van Rina Goldberg, asook viooloptredes deur Francois Voges.
Die volgende inligting is aan Gansbaai Courant verskaf: “Rina Goldberg has been the conductor of Beaumont Primary Senior Choir since 2010. During the past 5 years the choir has accomplished great success and acquired many accolades, thus ranking amongst the best senior choirs in the Western Cape. As residents in the Helderberg, we participate in the Stellenbosch and Helderberg Eisteddfods and achieve outstanding results every year.
Some of our highlights are as follows:
2014 - Prestige music concert at the Endler Hall, Stellenbosch Conservatoire with guest artists; Stellenbosch Eisteddfod (Gold);
2013 and 2010 - Medal Winner of the Helderberg Eisteddfod Choirs (Cum Laude - 92%);
2012 and 2011 - Participation at ATKV Applous (Western Cape), and Tour to Oudtshoorn;
2011 - Winner Stellenbosch Woordfees Koorsig Choirs where they sang with guest artists such as Minette du Toit-Pearce, Vicky Davis and Niel Rademan;
2010 - Winner of SA Schools Choral Eisteddfod (SASCE, Western Province).
Accompanying us on this tour is former choir member Dillan Wilken on electric bass and Schalk again on drum kit. Our resident accomplished violinist is Francois Voges and very competent accompanist on piano, Tersia le Roux. The Beaumont Senior recorder ensemble are also members of the choir and along with them we have other talented choristers who will be performing as soloists in the concert in Stanford.”
