Die polisie het Maandag inligting van die Georganiseerde Misdaad Eenheid ontvang dat perlemoen in Buffelsjag geberg word. Om 11:30 het hulle 'n houthut langs huis 27 oopgeforseer en 50 sakke vol ontskulpte perlemoen gevind.
Volgens Kapt F C van Wyk (SAPD Kommunikasie) is altesaam 8525 perlemoen en 'n vrieskas gekonfiskeer. Niemand is op die toneel gearresteer nie en die ondersoek duur voort.
