Op 26 Julie 2014 het Mayo Fowler Gansbaai Academia besoek. Hulle het ‘n kursus in skryfkuns aangebied. Die leerders wat aan die dag deelgeneem het, het elk hul eie opstelle geskryf. Die wenners het elk ‘n boekprys ontvang van NB uitgewers. Baie dankie aan NB uitgewers om vir ons leerders aan te spoor om te skryf. Die leerders wat deelgeneem het was Justine Pieters (Gr 8), Charlize Willers (Gr 10), Malcolm Mulope (Gr 11) en Du-Aine Dunston (Gr 12).
