Die bekende wit Brunsvigia orientalis (kandelaarblom), van Pearly Beach is deur ‘n bekende kweker van Stellenbosch versigtig uitgehaal gedurende November 2004 (verwys na berig in Gansbaai Courant in 2004), toe die plant rustend was.
Hierdie wit plant is ‘n natuurfrats en sou nie op sy eie aanteel nie. Die plant is vegatief vermeerder en vyf klein bolletjies het nou na 10 jaar huistoe gekom.
Die bolletjies is deur Heilie Mostert in die nuwe Pearly Beach Fynbos Garden oorgeplant.
