On Sunday afternoon 15 February, the Karlsruhe Concert Duo, founded in 1997 by the cellist Reinhard Armleder and the pianist Dagmar Hartmann of Germany, will return to Hermanus by popular demand and give a recital in the Civic Auditorium presented by OVERSTRAND ARTS/KUNSTE (OAK). The ensemble has established itself not least by winning several international competitions and is highly praised for fascinating its public by the depth of its interpretations, brilliant technique and its imaginative choice of programmes.
They will perform a romantic program which will include Seven Variations in E flat major from The Magic Flute by Ludwig van Beethoven; Adagio & Allegro in A flat major Op. 70 by Robert Schumann; Dream of Love by Franz Liszt; Romance F-Dur by Richard Strauss; Sonata in d minor by Claude Debussy and several other works.
