‘n Groep dogters (12-14 jariges) van Gansbaai Primêr is onlangs genooi om ‘n 7-weekse “Female Empowerment Programme”, aangebied deur Football Foundation, by te woon. Agt opvoedkundige sessies is onder leiding van Mary Alexander-Scholz saam met Anchelle Damon en Michelle Dzurenda aangebied.

Op Woensdag, 25 Maart 2015 het die groot dag vir die dogters aangebreek en het hulle hul welverdiende sertifikate in die teenwoordigheid van hul ouers ontvang. Hulle is Aliya Fiegeland, Amonica Phillips, Azadia Wardt, Chrisanda Pietersen, Cody Valentine, Daylen Tobias, Desmaré Sauls, Esoline Arendse, Gunell van der Vent, Joslyn Du Preez, Maryke Willemse, Maxine Abrahams en Rone Jeneke. Die dogters was dankbaar vir die geleentheid wat hulle gebied is en die skoolhoof, mnr Tommy Volkwyn is ook bedank vir sy samewerking om die program te laat slaag.

Die insiggewende program het die volgende waardevolle temas vir die dogters ingesluit: Introduction - Getting to know you; Understanding Female Empowerment & Gender Equality; Personal Goals & Education; Break the silence on Violence; Sex Education & HIV/AIDS awareness; Health & Nutrition, Social Media & Body language and Health & Nutrition.

“It was an impressive afternoon full of emotion and many good wishes extended to the young students for the challenges in their lives ahead,” het Mary gesê. “And a big thank you to The Football Foundation of South Africa.”
