“Vandag het ons die eer om die 155 eenhede van die Fountainhill ontwikkeling met groot afwagting bekend te stel,” het Overstrandse Uitvoerende Burgemeester, raadsdame Nicolette Botha-Guthrie tydens die amptelike opening van Fountainhill gesê.
“Fountainhill vorm deel van ‘n groter Geïntegreerde Residensiële Ontwikkelingsprogram vir Overstrand en is daarop gemik om bekostigbare behuising beskikbaar te stel. Met die ondersteuning van die stadsleiers, stel hierdie projek die weg oop om ekonomiese aktiwiteite in hierdie gebied te bevorder.” Sy het ook gesê die ontwikkelaar, Montlekar Overstrand, het onderneem om bekostigbare, moderne en kwaliteit lewenstyl aan voornemende eienaars te bied. “Die munisipaliteit en die implimenteringsagent se doelwit is om volhoubare en bekostigbare behuising aan die Gansbaai gemeenskap te bied en ons wens die ontwikkelaar sukses met die proses toe.”
Hierdie projek waar grond beskikbaar gestel is, die banksektor betrokke is en toegang tot dienste beskikbaar gestel word, word as ‘n eerste vir Overstrand Munisipaliteit beskou. Die gebied ter sprake is die verlenging van Korporasiestraat, bokant Buitekantstraat.
