Hello fellow hikers
We have come to the end of another hiking year during which the hikes have been varied over our mountains clothed in fynbos and along the spectacular coastline. Our special thanks go to Gina and Otto for keeping the wheels turning and to all who have given up their time to organize the much enjoyed outings.
To finish our year we will be hiking through the fynbos with magnificent views over Walker bay, through the ancient milkwood forest from which Grootbos gets its name. The hike is approximately 8km. At the start we will be climbing gradually then descend into the forest finishing at the Green Future nursery where we will enjoy our end of the year Bring and Braai. Whilst relaxing around the fire we will discuss the hikes for 2016 and welcome leader and venue suggestions.
As it’s the time of the year for Giving and Receiving we would like to hand over a donation to Green Futures from our members towards the work this school is doing for our less fortunate folk in Gansbaai, please also note the nursery will be open for plant purchases.
We will meet on Saturday 5 December at 7am at the Info centre at the Spar centre.
