Blue had a blast at the Hermanus Whale Festival even supporting the educational talks and the penguin dance - “My was that fun.”
You can read more about the Dyer Island Conservation Trust at the Whale Festival on their blog here. The Hermanus Whale Festival is visited by nearly 100 000 people all hoping to see the Southern right whales who mate and calve in the sheltered bays off the coastline, and of course to have some fun and visit the eco-tent.
Blue then headed off the Mayoral Awards. Congratulations to all the winners that were recognised for their contributions to making our community great.

All in all, it was fun to be out but there is no place like home and I needed a little touch up when I got back. Well African penguins are going into moulting season, a yearly replacement of their feathers, so we are all looking a little fluffy at this time of the year. Hope to see you at the Great White House.
Remember if you visit all eight of us, you could win a trip with Dyer Island Cruises.
