The trip was to introduce my learners to the broader world of karate, so they had a chance to mingle with fellow karateka.

The event was hosted by Elias and Lillian Kattan, both 7th Dan black belts, and they are the heads of the South Africa Goju Ryu Association.

We had a Kata competition, our club received 3 bronze and 2 silver medals.
