When it comes to celebrating talent and achieving greatness the OK Franchise Division (OKFD) doesn’t hold back and boldly sets the bar extremely high. The very prestigious Franchisee of the Year Awards ceremony took place during OK’s annual conference in Beijing, China in September and was once again testimony to OK’s definite and ever growing position within a very competitive retail landscape. Along with honouring loyal and dedicated Franchisees with lifetime achievement awards OK also crowned the top performing stores in four of their derivatives. This year Chris and Petra van Rensburg from OK Foods Gansbaai walked away with the esteemed title of Franchisee of the Year in the OK Foods category. “Surprise, disbelief and excitement is what we felt when they called out our names. We are extremely inspired and motivated by this award. It means a great deal to the store, our hard working staff and of course our loyal customers who now share our delight in being associated with a winning store.”

OK Foods Gansbaai and their competitors had to focus on and excel in a list of criteria in order to secure a place on the nominee-bench. Over the course of a year, the OKFD panel judged stores on various aspects like growth, general store standards, customer service, staff motivation, community involvement, administrative excellence and loyalty.
Special care and attention was paid to the overall picture, ensuring that the elected winners fulfilled all the requirements of what it takes to be a Franchisee of the Year title holder. OK Foods Gansbaai is truly an example of what retail excellence is all about.
