Citizen App simplifies tanker service requests for the December Holidays
With the December holidays approaching and many homeowners preparing to travel to their holiday homes, Overstrand Municipality reminds residents that it is quick and easy to book a tanker service request by using the Collab Citizen App.
The app is constantly improving, and with a dedicated tanker service icon, you can request a tanker service 24/7, without having to call the Contact Centre on 028 313 8000/8111.
Advance pre-scheduled bookings are no longer accepted. Residents can log their request three working days before they arrive, and the service will be completed within this timeframe The service is billed at normal rates per 5kl/6kl or part thereof. Please remember to specify if you want the full tank to be pumped or part of.
In case of an emergency, the service will be rendered within 24 hours and the service will be billed at normal rate x 2 (double charge) per 5kl/6kl or part thereof.
Remember to enable the app’s Notifications so you can track the progress of your request from start to finish and view updates. Each request logged is assigned a reference number. To follow up, go to Service Requests → My List to see all your requests and their status.
For example, “assigned” means your request has been received and is being attended to. Once the tanker is added to the schedule, we will change the status of the request to “scheduled” and reply with a comment which will provide you with the works order number.
To view feedback, tap Comments. If you want to respond, click Add Comments at the bottom of the screen. The system will notify the relevant team, who will reply as soon as possible.
