Why is Gansbaai Being Beautified?
Gansbaai is being beautified through the Gorgeous Gansbaai Arts Project (GGAP), a vibrant community initiative transforming our streets, communal spaces, and shop fronts through art. From murals to sculptures (many created with recycled materials), the goal is to create a more welcoming and visually appealing environment that reflects our values of being Gorgeous, Generous, Kind, and Caring.
Some of the exciting initiatives include:
• Murals: Buildings along Main Road are being transformed with colourful murals created in collaboration with local artists and building owners.
• Sculpture Gardens: A brand-new sculpture garden is underway, thanks to garden tools donated by Build It Gansbaai.
• Park Renovations: Local businesses have partnered to upgrade a community park, creating a safer, more inviting space for families.
• Community Engagement: Volunteers, local artists, businesses, and landlords work hand-in-hand to beautify our town.
These efforts aim to:
• Build community spirit and pride
• Encourage responsible community development
• Enhance quality of life for residents and visitors

GGAP is a NATION-BUILDING Community Project, inviting YOU to be a NATION BUILDER by sharing your gifts of kindness - your time, talents, and treasures - to help transform Gansbaai for all.
GGAP is building our Gorgeous, Generous, Kind and Caring Gansbaai for YOU - one mural at a time.
Our GGAP Exco extends heartfelt thanks to all our wonderful NATION BUILDERS - our local artists, volunteers, business owners, and landlords - for your incredible contributions that make this project such a success.
