December's SteriThon was a winner!!

We are thrilled to announce that the Gansbaai SteriThon event on 11 December in Blompark was a huge success - filled with gratitude, smiling faces, wagging tails, and grateful hearts.
Thanks to the incredible Ebervet CVC Team for the safe professional care given to 51 dogs which were sterilised, received the 5in1 and Rabies vaccinations, dewormed, treated for ticks and fleas, and sent home with a bag of nutritious dog food sponsored by the amazing Ebervet Vetshop Team.
Together we made a real difference in the lives of these animals and their families.
This initiative empowers our ongoing efforts to support our community in caring for their beloved pets, and reducing the spread of unwanted animals, we also helped prevent the increased risk of outbreaks of serious diseases such as distemper, parvovirus, hepatitis, scabies, rabies, hookworm, and tapeworm.

We had community children curiously peeking through the windows, and so we invited them in, all under supervision, to pet their dogs or friend's dogs and to experience the operations to help educate them on animal care. We believe it all starts with the children, so we spread the love with the young souls.
The Ebervet Team shared with us that for every female sterilisation, given she has not had puppies yet, results in up to 3,500 less offspring and based on multiple offspring across generations, a SteriThon like this event prevented tens of thousands of offspring.

A Heartfelt thank you to Our Community, as this day would not have been possible without our dedicated volunteers, our committed NPO's, our donors, supporters, and partners. We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone for their generous contribution!
While we look ahead to 2026, the work never stops! Our next SteriThon is already scheduled for 21 January 2026, as we are commitment to create a healthier, more compassionate, safer environment for both the animals and our community.
Thank you for being part of this incredible journey and for making this positive impact possible!
