Servicing and Restoring Pumps from Kromco
As part of our ongoing practical learning at CES, we collected two pumps from Kromco in Grabouw to assess, service, and restore them to working condition. This task allowed us to apply our technical skills while gaining hands on experience in mechanical maintenance.
We began by carefully dismantling both pumps to inspect all internal components. This assessment helped us identify any worn or broken parts that required attention. Once the inspection was complete, we thoroughly serviced the pumps to ensure optimal performance.
After servicing, the pumps were reassembled with care, making sure all components were correctly fitted and functioning as intended. To complete the restoration process, each pump was repainted using a base coat followed by a clear coat, improving both durability and appearance.
This project strengthened our understanding of pump mechanics, maintenance procedures, and the importance of attention to detail in technical work.
