Developing Young Talent on Gansbaai’s New Artificial Turf

Here, the Grootbos Foundation senior hockey players also practice on the artificial turf which adds a level of speed to a hockey game that is quite different to field hockey.
This new artificial turf (now 1 year old), a gift from Premier League, Rhinoturf and Grootbos Foundation to the people of Gansbaai, is a gift that continues to change lives.
The Overstrand Municipality manages the whole sports facility for the benefit of all.

Here, the Junior Hockey players are practising skills under the guidance of Coach Liyema. They are working on listening skills as well as hand-eye co-ordination. Not all parts of a hockey practice need hockey sticks.

Remember, healthy growth and development starts in early childhood and sets children up to become adults full of potential.
