During the months of May to July, the Overberg explodes into a flurry of colourful commotion as the winter months signals the flowering season of the fynbos of the Cape Floral Kingdom and when its natural inhabitants come out to play. This special time sees the blossoming of the endemic Erica irregularis, the return of the Southern Right Whales, the breeding season of most birds endemic to the fynbos and lots more.
