Planning your family session and deciding on what location to use? Worried about the location and your children's personality? I have to confirm that location does matter, if your young one is not happy or too happy, your images might not be what you expected.
If it might be your first shoot, why not try it at home? They are in their own surroundings and will welcome the photographer and eye contact will be much more than on location as the child feels they entered the photographer's space. I have seen this numerous times. The shoot takes way to long and your kids get teary. I will suggest doing your first shoot indoors for the child to warm up and arrange your second shoot on location.
This way the weather will also not interfere with your plans.
