Easter Egg Hunt for a Cause

Easter Egg Hunt for a Cause

African Penguin & Seabird Sanctuary

Easter Egg Hunt for a Cause

Join us this Easter for a fun-filled morning at the sanctuary with our Penguin Easter Egg Hunt. It’s a perfect family outing while supporting a very important cause.

It’s penguin breeding season, a critical time for African Penguins. While penguin parents are laying eggs and raising chicks on Dyer Island, where many of the penguins we rescue come from, we’re celebrating eggs in a fun way here at the sanctuary. With African penguins classified as critically endangered, every egg, chick, and penguin matters. Your support helps us continue our rescue and rehabilitation work.

Easter Egg Hunt Times (by age group):

• 10:00 - Ages 3-5
• 10:30 - Ages 6-8
• 11:00 - Ages 9-12

Entry Donation:

• R100 per child - includes Easter Egg Hunt and Penguin Bracelet

Each child will receive:

• Participation in the Easter Egg Hunt
• Sweets collected during the hunt
• A take-home Easter treat "Surprise" Pack
• A Penguin Bracelet

All proceeds go towards penguin rescue and rehabilitation.

Date: Saturday, 4 April 2026
Time: 09:30 - 12:00

Bring the family, enjoy a memorable morning, and help us protect our penguins.

Every egg. Every chick. Every penguin matters.
