Gansbaai Golf Club: Club Championship Update
Check out the results of the recent poll for the Club Championship at Gansbaai Golf Club happening from 1st to 3rd March 2024.
1. Saturday Morning and afternoon (2nd March, 36 Holes): 6 Votes
2. Friday Morning (1st March, 18 Holes) and Saturday Morning (2nd March, 18 Holes): 11 Votes
3. Saturday Morning (2nd March, 18 Holes) and Sunday Morning (3rd March, 11 am tee off, 18 Holes): 18 Votes
To accommodate everyone, the committee has made the following decisions:
1. Three entry forms, one for each day, with tee-off times on Friday and Saturday spaced 15 minutes apart. Sunday will have morning tee-offs only.
2. Players can choose a tee-off time that suits them.
3. Entrants commit to 36 holes, regardless of performance on the first 18 holes. No dropping out is allowed.
4. Players can play all 36 holes on either Friday or Saturday or split between any of the three days, ensuring they find a slot with at least one other player.
5. All entrants play off yellow tees. The format is medal, with divisions based on handicap.
6. Players splitting the 36 holes across two days need to check their handicap on the second day, as it may have changed. Actual handicap for each day's play will be used in determining the winner.
7. Club Champion can be from any division, determined by the best gross score. Trophies are awarded for each division and a best net score over 36 holes.
8. Prize giving on Sunday afternoon as soon as results are available.
