16 July 2024: Marine Evening
PLASTIC FREE JULY WITH BLUE DE GERSIGNY
16 July 2024 | The Great White House, Gansbaai
Local Kleinbaai artist, Blue de Gersigny cleans beaches from de Plaat to Quoin Point, using the plastic that she finds to create work that is as environmentally responsible as it is thought-provoking. She seeks to raise awareness about the dangers of plastic pollution and inspire others, in their own communities to protect our planet's precious resources. Her art is a testament to the beauty and fragility of our planet, and a call to action to preserve it for generations to come.
She talks about her own plastic journey, in her art and in her relationship to single-use plastic in day-to-day life, sharing tips for #plasticfreejuly.
Join us for an evening where Blue shares her passion for Plastic Awareness this July.
The event will be held at the Great White House, a stunning location that provides a captivating ambience for an evening of discovery. You will be surrounded by fellow enthusiasts who share a passion for marine conservation, creating an atmosphere of collaboration and inspiration. Delicious soup and bread will be served after the session. This event offers an excellent chance to forge new connections and engage in meaningful discussions with like-minded individuals.
Extra parking is available at the back of the Great White House.
