Location: Gansbaai, South Africa
Dive site: Joubertsdam
Water temp: Moderate
Visibility: Poor
Sightings: Bronze Whaler sharks, Broadnose Sevengill sharks, Cape fur seal, Short-tail Stingray + Southern Right Whales
Summary: An early morning start for our guests as we lunched out on Kleinbaai harbour! Filled with excitement, our divers could not wait for the adventure to come! Just a short ride to our dive site, our guests geared up in their 5mm wetsuits and the waiting could begin! Not long after the first shark sighting was around the cage, two Prehistoric Broadnose Sevengill sharks were already approaching, meaning our first group of divers could get into the “warmer” south Atlantic ocean! During our trip, we had close encounters and many different Bronze whaler shark individuals! We also had a well-known Short-tail Stingray and a Cheeky Cape fur seal! On our way around Danger Point, we encountered a mother and calf Southern Right whale! Thanks to everyone for joining Marine Dynamics today!
