Summary: With a departure from Gansbaai Harbour, we took a scenic route around Danger Point to the dive site. Passing the peninsula, our first wildlife encounter involved a mating group of Southern Right whales. Continuing to the dive site, guests were soon in their wetsuits and ready to join the abundance of Bronze whaler sharks around the cage. With over 15 sharks, guests were able to experience the sharks up close and in varying sizes. Additionally, a Broadnose sevengill and Short-tail stingray appeared at anchor, offering extra elasmobranch sightings. The curious Cape fur seals were active around the vessel, predating on shysharks and octopus. Thank you to everyone who embraced today’s wet and wild adventure. It was a pleasure having you all on board!
