Location: Gansbaai, South Africa
Dive site: Joubertsdam
Water temp: Moderate
Visibility: Poor
Sightings: Bronze Whaler sharks, Short-tail Stingray, Common Dolphins + Cape fur seal
Summary: A perfect day on the water! Our launch from Kleinbaai Harbour saw us heading into the bay with flat seas and blue skies, welcomed by a pod of the charismatic Common dolphins. At the dive site, activity picked up quickly, with the Bronze whaler sharks arriving first. Continuously active throughout the trip, we were able to witness multiple individuals throughout our time on the dive site. As well as the Bronze whalers, on the anchor site, multiple Short-tail stingrays paid a visit, offering divers an up close experience with two different elasmobranch species. Thank you to everyone who joined us today. It was a pleasure sharing these sightings with you!
