"I had close friends visiting from Joburg, Kenya and Zambia all of whom enjoy a decent wine and are well travelled. The wine tour brief to Barbara was to find one beautiful location where we could sample a few of the best award-winning Overberg wines. In addition, we wanted to try the various wines from the different wine estates as well as white, pinot noir, red and bubbly from the region. Wynand and Barbara provided peace of mind by privately chauffeuring us there and back. Gansbaai Wine Tours booked the beautiful Lomond Wine Estate under the Ancient Milkwood Forest. What an incredible venue! The wine-tasting experience exceeded my expectations and hit the brief perfectly with a variety of local wines each with a different story and "personality" from a different wine estate. We also joined the live concert at the wine estate that day and enjoyed the cheese platters and a glass or two of our favourite vino. Their professionalism and passion for what they do was obvious and the added bonus was the cost-effective tour for everyone and not needing to travel to each boutique wine estate to taste their offering.
