Bookings Now Open for Learner’s Licence Tests

Bookings for Learner Driver’s Licence appointments now open.

The new computerised Learner's Licence Testing system is now live at Overstrand Traffic Services. Bookings for learner’s licence test appointments can be made in Hermanus from 9 April 2025, and in Gansbaai from 10 April 2025.

This long-awaited update brings significant improvements to the learner’s licence testing process, enhancing accuracy, security, and efficiency through the use of modern technology.

To make an appointment in person, visit the respective Driving Licence Testing Centre (DLTC) in Gansbaai or Hermanus.

Take the following with you:
- 2 x colour ID photos
- Identity document/card
- R68 application fee

Applicants can find assistance with test preparations on the website, where they can download the study material for rules of the road, road signs, and vehicle controls free of charge at www.natis.gov.za.
