The latest product to market the Cape Whale Coast, a map to create awareness of the great range of outdoor activities available in the areas of Hermanus, Gansbaai, Stanford and Kleinmond, was launched during the weekend at the Argus Lifecycle Expo in the Good Hope Centre, Cape Town, and was well received. Suné Greeff, Tourism Manager: Overstrand Municipality, responsible for marketing the Cape Whale Coast, said that this Outdoor Activity Map will be the first of a range of focused marketing material that will be developed for niche tourism markets. The map has been designed to showcase the variety of outdoor activities and events that visitors and locals can enjoy while they are in the Cape Whale Coast area. Many of the events, such as the Hot Heels Africa downhill skateboard event, the Gravity Adventure Festival and the Wheels & Runners Race are unique to this area.
The map provides information regarding dates and contact details and can be obtained from all four tourism bureaus in the Cape Whale Coast.
