Planning on walking our way? Stay in Kleinbaai on your Pilgrimage!
Below is our latest Tripadvisor review. Our guest's reference to a 'pilgrimage' is significant. DID YOU KNOW that there are various hiking trails as well as pilgrimage routes in our Overberg and Cape Whale Coast area? The one that passes through Gansbaai (and therefore past us in Kleinbaai) is called the ‘Pilgrimage of Hope’. There are various routes, from Stellenbosch or Robertson to Agulhas. Set aside about 13 days for the one from Robertson! It is a proper CAMINO.
"Very convenient: I was in Franskraal for a sort of ‘pilgrimage’. Aire Del Mar is located with easy access to Gansbaai and Franskraal, but away from the main bustle and right next to the ocean. I needed the freedom to come and go and enjoyed the flexibility and not disturbing other guests. It was a nice touch to be able to set the time for breakfast to coincide with my plans. I especially enjoyed the well-equipped kitchenette for in-between meals which one does not find often in B&Bs. The staff were friendly and helpful." (Date of stay: January 2022)
