Skills Training Opportunities for Gansbaai Youth
Providing skills training to young adults in Indigenous Horticulture and Hospitality is one of the ways that Grootbos Foundation provides career pathway support for those in the local community who seek work to improve their own lives and those of their children.
This week, our application box was set up in the local Gansbaai library so that anyone can easily drop off their application forms. Online applications are also possible for those comfortable with digital applications but some prefer the good old-fashioned approach of pen and paper. And Grootbos Foundation is committed to giving everyone an equal opportunity to apply. This year, we will carefully select 24 young adults across both training programmes to spend the next 7 months learning, studying and experiencing these green/ ecotourism work sectors with close, individual mentorship so that they develop confidence for the world of work!
