New Entomology Cupboards at Grootbos Foundation!
We are thrilled to unveil our new entomology cupboards, which arrived this week! While these drawers may look like pieces of furniture, they are specially designed to store insects indefinitely. The glass allows for easy viewing, while the tight seals keep unwanted pests out.
After 6 years of building our insect collection, we can now move our pinned specimens into their secure and long-lasting homes. These two cupboards will house our first 10,000 pinned specimens.
Next, we plan to purchase more drawers to continue protecting our collection and advancing our research.
