Empowering Children through Education with Grootbos Foundation!
At Grootbos Foundation, we believe in educating children about their rights and creating a safe environment for them to thrive. That's why our coaches collaborate with local NPOs like Badisa and primary schools to engage children in fun activities designed to teach them about safety and responsible adult behaviour.
Our coaches and all adults working with children undergo annual Child Safeguarding training, ensuring that they are equipped to protect and support the youth in our community. But it doesn't stop there - we also empower children and youth to understand their rights through engaging and interactive sessions.
Child Safeguarding Week is a national initiative that highlights the importance of children's safety, and we're proud to be part of it.
Serious topics like Child Protection can be approached in fun and engaging ways. Just like Junior canoeing coach, Siya (left), who led discussions with learners at Okkie Smuts Primary School, making learning both informative and enjoyable.
