Green Futures Alumna Fuyeka Makwetha's Journey
We are incredibly proud to share the inspiring journey of Fuyeka Makwetha, a Green Futures College alumna from the Class of 2019!
Fuyeka, pictured here in her brown coat, utilized the confidence, communication skills, and knowledge she gained during her time at Green Futures College to secure a job on a cruise ship. This week, she returned to the Grootbos Foundation to share her motivational story with the women in the Class of 2024.
Her powerful message resonated with our current students: seize every life skill and learning opportunity, beyond just the hospitality curriculum. Fuyeka emphasized that even learning something as simple as a formal greeting can significantly improve their chances of success outside Grootbos.
