Grootbos Foundation Hosts Successful Exchange with ENVEST Programme
In January this year, six Grootbos Foundation coaches embarked on an exciting journey as part of the ENVEST exchange programme, a partnership between Cape Peninsula University of Technology and North Carolina State University in the US. They spent two weeks in the US, gaining invaluable insights and experiences.
Last week, we had the pleasure of hosting the second part of this exchange as 20 coaches and sports administrators from the United States visited South Africa. The focus of this exchange has been on inclusion, diversity, and community engagement while building leadership through sport.
The week has been a source of inspiration and learning for both the visiting US coaches and our South African cohort. Pictured here are the teams at the Spaces4Sport field in Gansbaai, where they engaged in various activities and shared their knowledge and experiences.
A special highlight was the generous gifts of kit and gear from the North Carolina Football Club brought by the visiting ENVEST coaches. These items will be treasured by the youths at Grootbos Foundation, enhancing their sports experiences and fostering a sense of global community.
