UN Biodiversity Conference 2024

-A first for Overstrand Municipality- 

The 16th meeting of the Conference of the Parties (COP) to the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) will convene from 21 October to 1 November 2024 in Cali, Valle Del Cauca, Colombia. “This is the first time for Overstrand Municipality to attend this special conference and it is a great privilege for us,” Overstrand Executive Mayor, Dr Annelie Rabie said when she informed Liezl de Villiers, Divisional Manager: Environmental Management and Conservation she was selected to attend the conference on behalf of the municipality. Gans-Berg News and the Overstrand community wish Liezl all the best during her visit to Colombia to attend the conference.
