The Conservation Research Unit has been hard at work – both behind the scenes in the office and out in the field among the fynbos.

Recently, our Entomology Curator, Carly, held a pinning workshop with the internship team to help sharpen their insect ID skills.

And just look at this little beauty spotted in the wild! It’s a Spotted Blisterbeetle (Ceroctis capensis) enjoying a bite of Gladiolus.

Every detail matters when it comes to understanding and protecting our biodiversity.
