Location: Gansbaai, South Africa
Dive site: Joubertsdam
Water temp: Moderate
Visibility: Poor
Sightings: Bronze whaler sharks, Short-tail Stingray + Cape fur seals
Trip Summary: It was a bright and early start for our shark cage diving guests today as we launched from Kleinbaai Harbour with the sun rising over Joubertsdam, creating the perfect start to an unforgettable adventure. Before long, our guests were suited up in their wetsuits and ready for action as the sharks made their appearance. We were also treated to the incredible sight of a calm but determined Cape fur seal bull hunting around the boat, successfully catching fish and even an octopus. The Bronze Whaler sharks put on an amazing show, coming incredibly close to our adventurous divers in the cage and providing thrilling underwater encounters. We were also lucky enough to spot a well-known Short-tail Stingray, giving our guests an extra special wildlife sighting to remember. On our return journey, we cruised through the world-famous waters of Shark Alley, where thousands of Cape fur seals could be seen resting and playing in the water. A big thank you to everyone who joined our team for this early morning adventure.
