Waking up this morning we were met by a surprize taste of the temper of the Cape of Storms. Starting off last night with light rain and lightning, it turned into a proper little storm this morning with heavy rain, wind and even a quick rumble of thunder. It seems to have cleared up somewhat already and we hope at least the rains move on as we celebrate the first leg of the Magical May Reforest Fests!
This weekend Platbos Forest plays host to the Family Reforest Fest. This is a full weekend with fun and educational activities for the whole family along with forest dancing, lots of tree planting and an early night under the stars. And with Sunday being Mother’s Day, there will be a special Mom’s Tree Planting.
Remember to pack warm clothes for the weekend and in the meanwhile we’re holding our green thumbs for the weather to clear up! Happy planting!
