The geographical layout and positioning of the Walker Bay, coupled with a devout commitment to conservation in the area, has resulted in an incredibly diverse natural offering. While mountain and land offer equally exciting natural wonders today we will focus our attention on South Africa's newest top attraction, the MARINE BIG 5!
Gansbaai is known as the Great White Capital of the world and the best place to do Shark Cage Diving. Slowly people are also starting to realise that Gansbaai, and more specifically De Kelders, is equally (if not better) as good as Hermnaus for whale watching.
While the sharks and whales have put Gansbaai and the Walker Bay on the map, not many people know that Gansbaai is one of the only places in the world where people can experience the Marine Big 5. In one day or over the space of a few days visitors can dive with sharks, visit a seal colony, swim with the dolphins, get up close and personal with the whales and share a freindly wave with a penguin.
So without further ado we would like to introduce the Marine Big 5 and urge you to come to Gansbaai and experience South Africa's newest natural treasure.
