Creative Mobile Phone Photography Competition
The competition is open for ages 9 - 18.
In this era, mobile phones are increasingly accepted as photography tools by more and more people, and we are very excited to see this trend emerging. To encourage more people to break through the constraints of photographic equipment and explore greater photography possibilities with their mobile phones, we are committed to providing a long-term and professional annual competition platform for mobile photography enthusiasts.
About Art4Heart
Art4Heart is an art hub and does art-related professional annual competitions, and now also offers the opportunity for mobile photography enthusiasts around the Overberg area to compete for rewards and to exhibit their works in Art4Heart Art Gallery. What Winners Receive
One first, second, and third place and ten honourable mentions will be selected for each category for this competition.
Evaluation of entries will be conducted by the Jury appointed by the organizer after the preselection, done by the program board. The evaluation will take place during the period from July 1st, 2023 to September 1st, 2023.
The result will be announced on October 7th, 2023.
The first, second, and third place and honourable mentions of each competition will be respectively awarded with:
First Prize
• A1 photographic print of the winning photo
• Exposure in the Art Gallery and possible selling of artwork in the gallery
• Certificate of participation and first place
Second Prize
• A2 photographic print of the second-place photo
• Exposure in the Art Gallery and possible selling of artwork in the gallery
• Certificate of participation and second place
Third Place
• A3 photographic print of the third-place photo
• Exposure in the Art Gallery and possible selling of artwork in the gallery
• Certificate of participation and of third place
The projects of the winners of the contest will be presented in an exhibition in 2023. The exact time will be communicated, location will be at Art4Heart Art Gallery.
Terms of Participation
The entries must be original works independently completed by the submitter, and the title, picture description, and other required information must be indicated.
The shooting and post-production of the entry must be done on mobile phones. The brand and model of the mobile phone are not limited. The original information (Exif metadata) of the photo must be kept, otherwise, the organizer will regard it as an invalid work. If you do not know what it is and how to find it, you can pop in and ask how it is done.
The entries are required to be uploaded in JPG format via Google Forms (send your email to Art4Heart for the link). There is no limit to the colour tone, both coloured and black and white images can be submitted. Photos are allowed to be modified only on your phone. Not with other apps and on a computer.
This competition does not accept restoration of photos. All entries must not have any watermarks.
Participants should have independent, complete, and undisputed copyrights for the works they submit, and must not infringe any rights of third parties including copyrights, portrait rights, reputation rights, privacy rights, etc. Participants are deemed to agree with the content of this article. All legal responsibilities for related disputes caused by the failure of the above guarantees shall be borne by the contestants themselves, and the competition platform and event organizers do not take responsibility for that.
The organizer of this contest has the right to use all entries, which can be extended indefinitely and irrevocably after the submission of the entries. The organizer can use any of the contestant's works for publicity and promotion worldwide without any additional payment. At the same time, the organizer is obliged to respect the authorship rights of authors and copyright owners during use.
The winners of this contest will be notified by email. All winners are required to provide information consistent with their entries as proof, within the time specified by the organizer. If failed to provide accurate information within the specified time, resulting in failure to receive the corresponding prize, it will be deemed as voluntarily giving up the award qualification, and all the consequences will be borne by the participant himself.
The final interpretation right of this competition belongs to the organizer of the event.
Participants must read the above terms carefully. Once the entry is submitted, it is deemed to agree to and abide by the above terms. The organizer reserves the right to disqualify any work that does not meet the requirements for soliciting contributions.
Theme of Competition
MOODS OF THE SEA:
Photographic works ranging from waves, colour of the sea, clouds forming above the sea, pools, rocks in the sea, pollution, stuff on the sea, sticking out, or just a peaceful day/night at the beach.
ANIMALS OF THE SEA:
Photographic works ranging from various phenomena of animal kingdom of the Overberg (such as sea animals, shells, sand, birds, etc.), to the ecology of various animals and plants of the sea.
PEOPLE OF THE SEA:
Photographic works that mainly seek to record the reality of life, reflect the relationship between people and people, and the relationship between people and nature, record people's activities, and describe the systems and customs in human social life in coastal towns. Or photographic works that mainly express the lifestyle and living conditions of the characters, including portrait works.
