The Fynbos Trail: Book for 2025!
The Fynbos Trail is fully booked for 2024, but you can secure your spot for 2025! With limited bookings available for only three groups a week (starting on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays), don’t miss your chance to explore this beautiful trail.
Trail Overview:
• Total Hiking Distance: 26.5 km
Day 1: A scenic three-hour walk covering 6.5 km from Steynsbos to Fountain Bush Cottage at Grootbos Environmental Centre, Fynbos Retreat.
Day 2: An adventurous 11 km walk that takes most of the day, from Fountain Bush Cottage to Witkrans.
Day 3: A 9 km trek that takes about four hours from Witkrans back to the finish at Steynsbos or Grootbos Florilegium (for the Premium Option 1).
Options Available:
PREMIUM OPTION - Guided, catered slackpacking
• Includes: Accommodation at Fynbos Retreat and Witkrans, two dinners, two lunches, two breakfasts, Lomond wine tasting, expert FGASA accredited guide, planting an indigenous tree, a fynbos gift upon completion, and a tour of the Grootbos Florilegium.
• Price: R6450 per person over the weekend or R6050 per person during the week.
• Note: Minimum group size of 4 required (6 over weekends). Book for 8 to have the trail exclusively for your group!
STANDARD OPTION - Self-guided, catered slackpacking
• Includes: Accommodation, two dinners, one lunch, two breakfasts, and luggage transfers. Bring your own drinks, and we’ll chill them for you!
• Price: R4900 per person over the weekend or R4700 during the week.
• Note: Minimum group size of 4 required (6 over weekends). Book for 8 for an exclusive experience!
BUDGET OPTION - Self-guided, uncatered slackpacking
• Includes: Accommodation, route map, and luggage transfers.
• Price: R2150 per person.
• Note: Minimum group size of 6 required (8 over weekends). Limited availability for select weekend dates; not available over long weekends.
