Leon and Margaret van der Merwe started Calamari Self-Catering in 2009.
Before making De Kelders their permanent home, Leon and Margaret were frequent visitors to the Overberg. This gave them a rare perspective - seeing the town, its beaches, and accommodation through the eyes of curious newcomers and of seasoned travellers who know where the real gems are.
The couple believes holiday magic happens when hosts strike the perfect balance: offering a warm, home-away-from-home welcome while stepping back just enough to let guests enjoy the peace that makes a getaway truly special.
Calamari Self-Catering is a spacious two-bedroom, two-bathroom home, designed for comfort and convenience.
One of the highlights of this home is the built-in braai room that extends into a beautifully maintained garden with an outdoor pizza oven.
The open-plan living and entertainment area includes a fully-equipped kitchen with a scullery, dining room and lounge. Two sleeper couches provide additional sleeping options for larger groups or unexpected guests.
The bedrooms have ample cupboard space, making Calamari Self-Catering ideal for longer stays.
The main bedroom has a Queen-size bed.
The second bedroom has two single beds.
The bathroom closest to the main bedroom has a corner bath, a shower, double basins and a toilet.
There is a shower, basin and toilet in the second bathroom.
