Fair Trade Tourism Comes to Gansbaai!
On 7 August, we hosted the Fair Trade Tourism (FTT) community gathered in Gansbaai, and invited local service providers to hear about what FTT is all about!
We had wonderful food and drinks brought in by local suppliers. This included Gansbaai Coffee Company, Gansbaai Bakhuis, Anna’s Pies, fabulous chocolate brownies from Junction 52, as well as Painted Wolf, a wine dedicated to the protection of the African Wild Dog.
The event brought great conversations and new friendships, showing how strong our shared support for fair trade is in the Overstrand. As our owner, Jessica Smit, said: “Our impact is more than the sum of our parts.”
