Summary of PBRPA Management Committee Meeting - 6 November 2025
The Pearly Beach Ratepayers’ Association (PBRPA) Management Committee met on 6 November 2025 at the Angling Club. The Chairperson opened with a prayer, and apologies were noted from Cllr Steven Fourie and Mr Jacques le Roux.
Key Points:
• Infrastructure and Maintenance: The municipality resumed verge clearing after spring blooms delayed mowing. The drinking fountain project remains pending due to material shortages. The whale structure repair is delayed, but the PBRPA will fund the work if materials don’t arrive within two weeks. The information board will be reconstructed and possibly relocated to the Angling Club for better visibility. A new PBRPA sign, sponsored by Seeff, was approved and will include an Xplorio QR code.
• Village Aesthetics: Complaints were raised about cluttered signage at the village entrance; Alderman Coetzee will address the issue.
• Finance and Membership: No changes in the account.
• Building Plans (October 2025): Several additions and alterations were approved for both Pearly Beach Resort and Pearly Beach Village.
• General: Applications were received for a Visgat entertainment venue and a bottle store (the latter on hold). A combined public ward meeting for Wards 11 and 14 was announced for 10 November 2025. The next newsletter will be released at the end of November, and the next committee meeting is set for January 2026.
